I am related to the DeCuirs or Decuirs of New Iberia, La. I understand that they originted in Point Coupee. Your name strikes interest to me since my Great Great grandpa was named Jean Baptiste Tinet. How did you get the Tierney name? I sometime believe that since I cant find out too much about him that perhaps his last name was meant to be Tierney instead of Tinet (french interpretation). My great grandfather, Jean Baptiste GAston Tinet married Virginia Decuir .Balthazar Decuir my great great grandpa begot my great grandmother, Elodie Decuir who married William Ferdinand and they begot my grandmother, Coralie Ferdinand who married my grandfather Alfred (Tinet) Olivier and begot my father, Eloges Olivier who died in Charity Hospital in 1927, Aug.
