Barbara,

I live in New Orleans, Louisiana, and I am a Decuir ancestor also. My only known decuir ancestor was Mary Decuir born circa 1847. She married Joseph Romero and they had many children, Mary, Laura, Louise, Therese, Amelie, and Joseph Nicholas (my maternal great-great grandfather/born in New Iberia 11/17/1879). The Decuir/Romero daughters married into the Delahoussaye, Morton, Molless, and Revol families. Some of that branch of the family (one was Laura Romero Molless) moved to Los Angeles. Some of her relatives are now living in Oregon (Kim Smith, and her mother Linda (Bones). I have corresponded with them a few times. Since you live in Los Angeles, could you be related to them? Please let me know because my branch does have a connection with their branch.

Thanks so much.

Sincerely,

Diane Masterson
New Orleans, LA (Metairie, LA)
