Hi Courtney, I am a Decuir descendant. My ggggrandfather was Godfroi Decuir with Eugenie Arnaud/Armand; they had my gggrandfather, Balthazar Decuir, who had my ggrandmother, Elodie with Nancy Singleton. Are any of these your relatives? The names you give are not familiar to me but from experience, I have found that most Decuirs tended to marry into the same families, like the Rochons, Delahoussayes, Oliviers (my relatives also)Frilots, Boutte's, and the like. Are you a descendant of Mother Delille? Her great neice, Angela Vincent, married Simeon Decuir and thus the Decuir in Mother Delilles descendants. I hope you will be making the Creole Studies Conference in October 23 to 25 this year. I need all of Mother Delille's descendants to stand up with me in her cause of being identified as the First Native Born Creole American to be placed up for Sainthood. I am at redbino9@aol.com if you care to write me. Thanks Marion Ferreira
