Hello Charles, it seems that we come from the same family although, my ggggrandfather was Godfroi Decuir, the first,
who had Balthazard Decuir with Eugenie Arnaud/Armand. As you may know, Godfroi had a son, Louis, who had Virginie Decuir, my great grandmother with I think an Emerante Carriere in 1848 while he was still married to his first wife. He later married Emerante after his separation or divorce from the first wife in 1854. I am also related to you under the Honore name since Charles Olivier of the Olivier Sugar Cane Plantation had the surname also of Honore, which was perhaps his mother's maiden name.
Perhaps we can compare our notes. Write me at email@example.com. Marion Ferreira
It's interesting to learn that so many of us are related to the proposed Saint, Mother Henriette Delille, and very few of us are rebelling or trying to change the fact that she is not being identified as who she was when she lived - a Native Born Creole-American.
