My name is Susan Lesley Randle, I come from Hucknall, Nottinghamshire, though I now live in Worcestershire.
I have Deemings on my Family Tree.
My Great Great Grandmother was Hannah Deeming 1846, Foleshill, Warwickshire, England - Bur 21 Sep 1914, Hucknall Torkard, Nottinghamshire. Married Elijah Newcombe, born 1849, Walsgrave, Warwickshire - died 25 Aug 1922, Hucknall Torkard, Notts.( in the 1881 Census, Hannah was a Trimming Weaver, and Elijah was a Coal Miner, which is why many of my Ancestors moved North, as Hucknall Torkard was a small Mining Town, though now it's just called Hucknall.) Children were, Selina 1967 Foleshill, Warwickshire, (incidentally, for all those Deeming Relatives out there that hail from Australia, Selina had a Daughter called Selina who married and emigrated to Australia and had a Daughter out there called Marjorie who married Harold, (forgotten his Surname).
Hannah and Elijah's other children were, (My Great Grandmother) Emma Maria, 1871 Foleshill, Warwickshire, - 18 Dec 1947, Hucknall Torkard, Notts. Married in Hucknall Torkard 1898 to Thomas Cooper,a Coal Miner From Glascote Warwickshire, 1865- 2 Feb 1944. Edna 1872 Sowe, Warwickshire, Married Arthur Millership born 1870. Thomas 1874 Pottergreen, Warwickshire. Elijah 1879, Hucknall Torkard, Notts -12 Sept 1931 Hucknall Torkard, Notts, Married Edith Cox 1882-9 Mar 1964. Wallace 31 Aug 1881, Hucknall Torkard, Notts - 11 Sept 1936, at Annesley Pit, Hucknall Torkard, Notts, Married Mary Anne Bywater 19 Jan 1882 - 9 June 1962, and Ada, 1883 Hucknall Torkard, Married Robert Nolan.
Hannah's Father and Mother were Thomas Deeming 1864 Bedworth, Warwickshire, and Sarah Ellen Harris 1866, Leeds, Yorkshire. Thomas's Parents were, Richard Deeming 1812, Baddesley Ensor, Warwickshire, and Eliza Chetwynd 1812, Baddesley Ensor, Warwickshire. Children, Ann 1839, Baddesley Ensor, Warwickshire, Mary 1842, Baddesley Ensor, Joseph,1845, Baddesley Ensor, John 1848, Baddesley Ensor, Richard 1852, Baddesley Ensor, and of course Thomas above.
