I would like to connect with anyone doing research on the Deen family of Hamilton County, Illinois.

My ancestor Jacob Clay Dean and his spouse Sarah Emeline Smith might be from Hamilton County.

I found on the Hamilton County Illinois website the 1860 census with the listing of JAMES D. DEEN, 35 WITH WIFE NANCY E. AND CHILDREN:
Julinean 12 F
Jeramiah 9 M
Jacob 8 M (this might be my ancestor as I have his birth year matching this Jacob)
Sarah K. 6 F
Perlina 4 F
Lucinda 1 F
Thomas 2/12 M
LEWIS, Arena A. 7 F

I only know my ancestor Jacob C. Dean had a brother by the name of John. John is not listed in the 1880 census, he was born later.

Jacob C. Dean had a daughter by the name of Sarah Leona. When Sarah Leona was married in Franklin County Illinois, she listed her name as DEEN and stated she was born in Hamilton County, Illinois.
