I believe the line you are seaching descends from Jacob Clay Dean, Sr. and Susannah Hatty. Jacob Clay Dean was a son of Joshua Dean and Susanna Loveall. This Jacob Clay Deen Sr. was born 23 June 1774 in Virginia, died 5 Aug 1854 In Hamilton Co., Illinois. Jacob Clay Deen Sr. was an elder brother to my 3G grandfather John Dean who later changed his spelling to Deen. If this is the correct connection I have information going back to Jacob Clay's and John's 4G grandfather William Gilbert Deane of Dorset England circa 1550. I also know other Dean family members who are working the Jacob Clay line and the Dean's of Hamilton Co. IL that can be of help to you.
