I found a gedcom on about your Deen/Dean family. The Contact person is Rejeana Vaughan:

She reports the following info:

James A (should be O.) Dean b. Jan 1886 TX
married: Ethel (?) b. CO
daughter: Gertrude b. TX

James Obie Deen/Dean was the son of:
James W. Dean b. Jan 1852 in Mississippi
and Mary J. Shaddix b. Apr 1849 in Georgia. Mary died in Texas. Mary's mother was Jane H. (unknown), b. May 1829.

James W. Dean was the son of:
Mark Abner Dean, b. ca. 1808 in South Carolina
and Martha Patsy Orr, b. ca. 1818 in South Carolina

James W. Dean found on the following census:

Census: 1860 Bankston, Choctaw County, Mississippi
Census: 1870 Cusseta, Davis County, Texas
Census: 1880 Precinct #3, Cass County, Texas
Census: 1900 Precinct #3, Bowie County, Texas
Census: 1910 Precinct #3, Bowie County, Texas

Children of James W. Dean/Deen and Mary J. Shaddix:

1. Joseph Dean, b. May 1877 TX
2. William Oscar Dean, b. Nov 1879 TX
3. Henry A. Dean, b. June 1884 TX
4. James A. Dean, b. Jan 1886 TX
5. Amelia Ann Dean, b. June 1887 TX
6. Felix M. Dean, b. Aug 1897 TX
7. Willie A. Dean, b. ca. 1883 TX

NOTE: I also found this family on the 1920 census in Precinct #3 in Bowie County, TX; and on the 1930 census in Archer County, TX. I found James W. Dean, with a second wife) living with one of his sons in Oklahoma in 1920.

Martha Wilcox, b. ca. 1844/45 in Alabama, is living with James Obie and Ethel Dean on the 1910 and 1920 census, and is listed as mother-in-law. The 1910 census shows James O. and Ethel had been married for 3 years, so they probably were married in Bowie County, Texas.
