I don't know if this will help with your search re: Sarah Ann Deen but I think I can give you additional information of Samuel Lee Dean and his family.

David Patrick Miles (b 11/25/1859) in Appling Co., Ga., married Missouri Deen (b 12/25/1859)--daughter of Samuel Lee Deen and Mary Belangy, both buried in Miles Chapel, Appling Co, Ga.
So, it would appear that my great-great grandfather was Samuel Lee Deen and my family has a marvelous portait of him right before he went to the Civil War. He was in such a hurry that he didn't have time to button his coat to the top.
He looks so very young in this picture that I didn't think he had many children?? IOW, he died in the Civil War.

I'm not sure this is the same "Samuel Lee Deen" (Dean??) but if it is, then my great-great grandmother's sister was Sarah Ann Deen.
The 1880 Census for Appling Co., Ga. 483 Dist. showed David Patric Miles, 20, born Ga., and Missour Miles, 20, born Ga. so it would seem that Samuel Lee Deen was killed in the Civil War about 5-7 yrs. after Missouri was born.
