There is a Hansford Deer in Grant Co. Simpson Twsp. in the 1870 census Arkansas.
I do not know if this is the Joseph Hansford you mention. but I'm trying to find parents of my Susan Nancy Deer/Deere b. 1860 If these Hansford are the same don't look like it would be him marring in 1870, but perhaps a second marriage. It says my susan was born in MO.There is also a James L. Deer in Grant Co. Ar. 1870 census.
Any help grealy appreciated
Margrett
