Hi Margrett,
I have a Susan Deer in my line, though I am using someone else's computer and can't access my file until tomorrow. I'm just getting settled after 4 months away from home so I'm using my son's computer temporarily.

I found my Deer line in Ontario, beginning with David Deer. I have nothing on his parents or siblings. The 1871 Ontario Census states that he was in Collingwood, Ontario, and he was 50 yrs old. Also, he was a farmer. I don't know if he was an immigrant, but the census lists him as English. I don't know where he was born, perhaps somewhere else in Canada or in the states.
