John Deere & wife Louisa Jane Keightley resided in the Bow District, Poplar District of London County, England when the birth of their son Percy Bernard Deere was registered 8Apr1898. Percy was born on 17 Mar 1898. At age ten years of age he was transported to the United States, according to family tradition, and grew up in an Evans household and took their surname. He worked as a miner in the coal region of Pennsylvania, later married, became a naturalized citizen and raised a family. Descendants wish to learn more of his birth family.
