Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

Hi Shorty:
My husband's family is also from Barnwell area. His name is
Carlos "Carl" Stratton Deer. His father was Paul S. Deer
whose father was Aquilla Deer from the Barnwell area.
They are related to Big John Deer who sailed with Cpt.
Kidd. Mary Marg.Deer may be related to that bunch.
I have not heard the Arnold name in the family and I've
been a part of the famly now for 31 years. There is a
book about the Deer Family written by a woman in
Michigan so I've been told. Also, you need to contact
Fred G. Deer at CDCBDEER@aol.com. He is the family
historian and can give you alot of info. Tell him I
sent you.

Keep in touch.

Sincerely,

Eileen Barmen Deer
Jesup, Ga.
