Hello:

I believe I am related to Frank X Deer from Sandusky County Ohio. Please E Mail me . Gerald Deer

Our family in trying to locate information on our relatives that arrived from Tyrol, Austria to Sandusky County Ohio between 1855 and 1858. Our Great, Great grandfather was John George Deer AKA – George Deer who was born in Tyrol Province Austria on January 2, 1807 and died on March 27, 1869.He is buried in the Ludwig cemetery in Jackson Township of Sandusky County Ohio.

Mr. Deer and his wife, Mary Deer, had five children that were born in Austria and had two more children who were born in Sandusky County in 1858 & 1859. Mr. Deer resided in Scott township, section 20 on 60 acres in the north part of section 20. He also owned 40 acres identified as the west half of the west half of the northwest quarter of section 21 in Scott township of Sandusky County.

The children names were in order of birth:

Gebhard Deer – DOB – 1841 in Tyrol Province Austria.
Franklin Xaver Deer – DOB 4/14.1844 Tyrol Province Austria – Died 5/5/1871
Joesph Deer – DOB – 9/27/1846 - Tyrol Province Austria
Catherine Deer – DOB – 12/26/1846 - Tyrol Province Austria
Mary Ann Deer – DOB – 1855

George “Mike” Deer – DOB – 4/1858 – Sandusky County, Ohio.
John Deer – DOB – 8/8/1859 – Risingsun , Ohio

We believe that Mr. Deer remarried another Mary and that she bore the last two children in Ohio. We have no records of her birth, death or marriage to Mr. Deer in Sandusky County.

Any information on the Deer family would be greatly appreciated by our family.
