Elizabeth Deer buried in Ohio
Posted by: Tammy Roth Date: December 01, 1999 at 19:27:03

I am looking for any information I can find on Elizabeth Deer, my ggrandmother. She married Joseph Metcalfe. Before Joseph, Elizabeth had been married to a Horton. They had a son, Charles Albert. Joseph Metcalfe adopted Charles Albert when he married Elizabeth. They are both buried in Maple Grove Cemetery in Miami Township, Ohio. I believe Elizabeth was of Native American origin. I was told she was Paiute, but that could very well be incorrect. If anyone has any information at all, please contact me. I believe Elizabeth had at least 2 brothers, John and Omar(Omer)Deer. Thank you
