I'd be intrigued if your dad would be willing to share any of what he has learned to date with us. While our last names are spelled differently -- mine & Marlene's seem to be the only ones with a lower case "f" in Defino -- there are josephs all over the place in my family in recent times. Unfortunately I have virtually nothing to go on when it comes to seeking family history. My grandparents were of the "we're in this country now" mindset. You may be too young to understand the syndrome, but your dad might know what I mean... :-) In any case, glad to know there's more of "us" out there! MDW
