Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

I think I might know why the "F" is in lower case rather than capitals. One of the reasons might be that when a woman gets married she keeps her maiden name, however she adopts "de" meaning "of". For example if a woman's maiden name is Teresa Bueno, if she marries Jose Diaz, her name then becomes Teresa Bueno de Diaz. At least that is the tradition in the Latin-American countries.
