Pleased to meet you!
I'm new to the internet and this is my first visit to this site.
Researching Thomas Devilly, born Abt. 1831-34
in County Galway, Ireland (possibly at a village called Dunmore).
He is believed to have emigrated to the U.S with two of his sisters, Margaret & Mary, probably around the time of the potato famine, circa 1849, before finally settling in England.
He is recorded in the 1881 & 1891 census at Bole Hill, Marsh Lane, Eckington, Derbyshire.
Wife: Margaret Griffith born Abt.1841
Children: Frank born Abt. 1867
Edward Abt. 1870
Kate Abt. 1872
Margaret Abt. 1874
John Abt. 1875
Thomas Abt. 1876
Can anyone confirm the Irish connection?
Did the sisters stay in the U.S?
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Hope this is of use to you too.
