I have a Degan in my family. Adelia Mary Degan(Denny) Born June 18, 1829 Montreal Canada. Married to Joseph W. Denny. I have no idea who her parents were other than they were from Canada. She moved with husband and some of thier 15 children from Split Rock NY.(Syracuse)to Lowell,Michigan. Died March 05,1905. If it helps this family was catholic and I have found some records in local Catholic Diocese. You could check with some of the Diocese in the areas your Degans are from. These are my gr-gr grandparents. If I can help more please write by e-mail.
