Degnan family

My maiden name is Degnan, my great grandfather was James
(Hugh-possibly his middle name) Degnan. He lived on Chestnut St. in Wilkes Barre, Pa. according to the 1889 census. I believe he was originally from Ireland, but do not know where, and am trying to get info on his naturalization, hoping to find out his origin. He married Mary (Ryan?) possibly in Ireland or it could have been in Pa. His son, my grandfather was Martin Degnan, born in 1870; killed in a mining accident May 13,1908. He and his family also had settled in Wilkes Barre,
he had a brother John (Martin),James (Hugh). and four sisters, Lizzie and Bridget. I do not know the first names of the other two. I have a list of about 30 different ways to spell the name Degnan; there is a wonderful web site http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~dignan/ which gives information concerning the origin of the name in Ireland. Would appreciate any info concering the Degnan's in Pa.
