1850 Illinois census-Degan fam. with Fanny Overton

I am looking for information on a Fanny Overton who in the 1850 Illinois census is living with a WILLIAM DEGAN family. Is she maybe a married daughter? Listed Right above her on the census is a boy William W. age 11/12months(I think. It is hard to read for sure.) Is he a Degan also, or is he possibly Fanny's son. We have a William W. Overton on our line who would be that exact age, born in Illinois and we have not been able to find him as a child or any of his family. This census was taken in November and he would have been 1 year at the end of the month, so the age is perfect, and the only William W. as an infant anywhere close to an Overton in Illinois. Can anyone fill me in on this puzzle.
Thanks so much, Becky
