Lyle, I think I stumbled upon your family while looking for my own family of Joseph, Margaret, Julius and Adleia Denny/Dennis. Sorry if it's info you already have. Joseph (26) and Delia (22) "Dinney" are living in Onondaga, NY in the 1850 Fed. census with children: Delia (6), Joseph (4), Henry (2) and Eli (1/12). At first I thought it was my own line because mine were in Salina, Onondaga, NY too and also from Canada. It list Joseph as a Stone Cutter. Maybe there's a connection to our lines. Maybe your Joseph is brother to my Julius b.1819-1824 in Canada. My Julius' father was Joseph also born in Canada.
