James Vincent DeGeorge, my great grandfather lived in Rockford, Ill. I am told his parents were Vicente and Theresa from Reggio, Calabria Italy. He married Irene Daley and they had 4 daughters, Margret, Marion, Kate and Helen (my grandmother). We believe he and his brother may have been brought here by an aunt but Grandpa enjoyed a good story so no one knows for sure. There was a volcano eruption in Italy and their parents may have been killed. My Grandmother who has passed away talked of Uncle Joe visiting from New York. We have some pictures that we would be glad to share if you feel they may have been related. None of him when he was young but older ones.
