Does anyone have an ancestor who emigrated to the United States during the French Revolution, especially during 1794 to 1795?
I have checked the list at LeHavre with no success. Lewis "Degraf" (many variations) declared in his naturalization papers in 1800 that he had been a citizen of France. He lived in Pennsylvania and then he moved to Baltimore before 1803.
Some new avenues of approach are needed after twenty years of searching for a clue as to his place of birth in France or Flanders.
