I am a descendant of the de Jongh family name in Michigan (originally from Leeuwarden, Friesland, Netherlands). Pieter Tjeerds de Jongh m. Aaltje Rinsis Rinsma. One of their children: Aaltje Pieters de Jongh (Dec 6, 1863) was my great-great grandmother. She married Charles (Jelle) Posthumus in 1885. I am looking for more on the de Jongh family -- especially Aaltje de Jongh (Diefenderfer or Defenderfer) who may have been a cousin of my great-grandmother Elsie (Aaltje) Posthumus. I have a picture of her in my g-grandmother's journal, but cannot place her. It seems she may have been maried to a David S. Solomon. Anyone with info please contact me.
