There are many DeJulios still living in NY tied to the New Rochelle area. Leonardo DeJulio is the name of one of my ancestors, but he may not be the one you are seeking based on the dates given. We know little about the family history other than than some stories and my limited research.

Our Leonardo DeJulio was born about May 1884 and died in November 1973 in New Rochelle. According to the Ellis Island website, he arrived on the Italia on 28 June 1906 at 16 years of age. The manifest notes he was a tailor (which seems wrong) and headed to Poughkeepsie NY (we know of no relatives there) to meet his father named Pietro (this goes beyond living family knowledge). There is a record on the website too of Pietro (born ca 1851) traveling with a Pasquale (born ca 1843) in 1893 aboard the India through Ellis Island, but I can't confirm relation. Anyways, due to interesting events Leonardo wound up in and never left the New Rochelle suburb of NYC.

He was staying with a cousin in New Rochelle (last name may be some variant of Immucci), and settled down, eventually marrying Angela Todaro and having three children. Angela also came through Ellis Island, apparently with a group led by a Maria D'Addario.

The major family ties on my end are with DeJulio, Russamando (Giffoni Salerno), Todaro, and Cappuccilli. Our branch of the DeJulios is currently tied to lower Westchester County and Connecticut- with a few having recently gone to California and Florida. There is another branch of the DeJulios around southern Westchester that is also related to us. They descend from Leonardo's two bothers Nick and Christopher. These two also likely came through Ellis Island, but I have not done research on them, and am unsure if they had other siblings either here or in Italy.

I hope that this all fits into the puzzle somehow. I am also looking for information on the Di Muro family from Giffoni, Salerno. A Nunziatta DeJulio, who was traveling to Colorado and I am assuming is some distant relative of mine, is the name noted after my Di Muro relative on her Ellis Island record, and so I am curious if there is was a personal relation there. The Di Muro / Russamando branch of my family settled in NYC.

Best wishes to any researchers who this information helps!
