When Bartolomeo first came to the U.S. he came thru Ellis Island. He next stopped at Stanton Island in NewYork. He then moved to Artic sectionof West Warwick R.I. where there is a cemetary with some DiGiulio's burried. From Artic he moved to the Federl Hill section of Providence R.I. and lived on either Balbo or Depasquali Avenue. Annunizata was sponsored by the Maneri Family and followed the same basic trail. Annunizata's madien name was Ranna and she was an orphan. There are several family stories 1. is that she was orphaned in Italy and taken to an orphanage in Ierland, 2. she was orphaned and addopted by the mManieri Family. Both Bartolomeo and Annunizata were born from the best info I have either in 1884 or 1894. Both are burried in Saint Ann's Cemetary in Cranston R.I. My daughter Alexandria is burried with her great grand Parents as is my Father Angelo and Uncle Vincenzo. I do know there is or was a cousin somewhere in both upstate New York and a possible brother to Bartolomeo in Arizona and possibly a cousin in Washington State. What I do know is that there is a large Dejuilio family On Mercer Island In Washington and I have heard that their name was changed from Di Giulio by the census taker when they settled there in the early 1900's. My goal is to try to find tys in Italy as I have a degenerative eye disorder and both Bartolomeo and Angelo were blind in there early 50's. I to am loosing my sight and I am 51. I am working with my physician as to try to trace this affliction back.
Thank You for your help.
