Looking for information on African American family living in Metter Georgia in 1890's. They had at least one daughter, Queen Dekle, who married Osborne S. Williams in Metter Georgia around 1927. It is my assumption that the black Dekle's took their name from their former owners--is this way off or is it a possibility? Interested in death or marriage records available for that part of Georgia
