hmmm....this is interesting. I'm descended from Canvasie Dekle who married Bazzle Jones. She lived in Metter,Ga. I think. Her parents were Littleton Dekle and Susan Warren, which would make THAT Susan Warren my g-g-g- grandmother. (I'm 62, so if you're younger we may be talking about the same family...or cousins.) The family names are similarly interesting, to say the least.
Those Dekles, I think, were all descended from John Dekle of Hanover, Germany, who settled in Georgia. He had two brothers who went North. They were all stowaways on a boat from Germany, according to the Dekle DNA Project site, which lists some Dekle families.
