Julie, I produced the large family tree about 22 years ago after a couple of years of intensive research. I was determined to get a better answer to the regular question "Where does your name come from?". I have had little time since to add or modify it although I believe most amendments to date would be minor. The pre-1849 information was produced mostly by a semi-professional genealogist who did the legwork around various Parish churches and institutions including the Huguenot society. I did most of the post-1849 work at the central records in Holborn at that time. I also visited Sancerre a couple of times to try to verify the French end. There are 4 'Rues' in France with the name that I know of so far.
I would be interested to hear about any additional information you may have.

Regards, Roy
