Elizabeth: I saw your posting on GenForum and wanted to ask if you have any information on a daughter of theirs, Charlotte(Amelia?) Harry . I am trying to help a cousin search for her Louisiana Roots and the death record of her G-Grandmother - Emerite Eve Dees - shows her Mother to have been Amelia Harry. Emerite was born in Louisiana in Nov. of 1840. We believe that Amelia Harry married William Dees about 1838, but haven't been able to verify that either. We are attempting to link Emerite to this family. Her name alone makes me think there is a connection. I've never seen that name before until now, and of course, Charlotte Emerite delaHoussaye. I've seen Charlotte's date of birth as 20 APR 1794. And that she died in 1824/5 at the age of 30. Is this not correct?
Any help you can give us will be greatly appreciated.
