Amedee Constant Delambre

Amedee, besides being my great grandfather, was born in 1821, in the Department of Pas de Calais. He was the third or four children of Phillip Constant Delambre, who served in the army of Napoleon in the Guard of Murat. Amedee studied to be a priest, but switched to horticulture and was awarded a diploma in 1848. He and his wife migrated to Louisiana encouraged by Bienvienu, the ex-governor of Louisiana. His 1st wife died leaving him a young son, Amedee Constant, who later died at age 19. He remarried in 1870 to Miss Love Knox, the daughter of Henry Hanna Knox and Agness Hanna, natives of South Carolina. He and Love had six children, three boys and three girls. I am interested in any information anyone might have on Amedee's parents, siblings, and their ancestors. I ran across the name Jean Baptiste Delambre early in my youth and have always wondered if he might be related.
