Searching for information on a Captain Delano who shipwrecked off coast of Washington state in late 1800's.
The oral history that I've heard says he purchase land with insurance money from the accident. The captain tried to grow hops. Weather too cold, so turned it into a resort.Today this property is a camp called Delano Bay Camp. It is near Penrose State Park in Pierce County, Wa. Any information on Captain Delano would be appreciated.
