Reader Beware:

I called this “Order” and requested a copy of an application to join. I talked with this person “Most Rev. Abp. Michael” 4 times over the phone and sent 1 letter, to request information as to the right of knighthood as it applies to me and my family line. I had questions as to the family line and if Jonathan Delano was really the son of Phillip Delano as he was not included in the will of his father Phillip and other records. This research has taken 2.5 years to complete. All members of this family and readers of this post must understand that "entitled by hereditary right" as stated by this person who posted this message DOES NOT APPLY if you take to long to send the information or money they request, or do your own research or ask any questions about the validity of the Order or the sources used to claim an family line is true and correct. As a genealogist and researcher I have worked with many devoted researchers and NEVER have I had a time requirement placed on joining an order such as this one when questions have been raised as to ones family line. I was insulted when I asked questions and told that I have NO right to join and due to the fact I took too long to research the line, EVEN thou I am a 9th Generation Grand son of Phillip Delano, [documented and sourced] he feels that I was not dedicated to the Order or I would have just joined as soon as I could. He then went on to say NO other Hereditary Order or Society would have let me take so long to join. After reviewing a web site

The Order of Saint Catherine of Sinai: one of the Lowell Barker stable of Orders with an American Priory and many members from the Military.

The Knightly Association of Saint George the Martyr: another Lowell Barker group established in November 1980 as an "association of persons who have received the honor and dignity of knighthood". It is difficult to imagine why someone who has received a genuine Order would want to be connected in any way with such a group. -

The Sovereign Order of the Knights of Saint Dennis of Zante: Originally founded by the notorious "Count" Pericles Voultsos, this is now apparently run by "H.S.H. Count Thomas John Taglianetti". This Order claims among its members former President George Bush, yet another example of how these groups send their award to a prominent individual and then claim him for a member. It is closely associated with a Mr. Lowell Barker, who calls himself Bishop Mikhail of the Ukranian Orthodox Church.

I am inclined to wonder if the Order is real or if the “Most Rev. Abp. Michael” does NOT want a person who documents and questions things that do not make sense, in his personal “Order”.
