Lt. Jonathan Delano d. 28 December 1720, "in ye 73rd year of his age." This phrasing means that he was 72 and would be 73 on his next birthday. Given that he died on 28 December, this virtually assures us that he was born in 1648 - provided the gravestone is accurate. It is widely stated that he was born in 1647 due to the wrong assumption that he was 73 when he died.
