Thank you for the feedback, I have discovered the same information since posting this request two years ago.

To date I have found nothing in Friendship or my family records confirming the name "Charles" Christopher yet a family tradition has it that someone was hanged for piracy and the GHAAD (Delano Genealogy) simply lists him as married and died in England, no children. This seems to indicate that this is the same person. I have since also discovered the marriage to Ellen Abbot.

Christopher Delano from Friendship,Maine born 21 July 1778 had a brother Phillip born 2 April 1786 who according to the GHAAD "was unmarried died at sea".

Yet, I find the following record from Liverpool where "Charles" Christopher Delano was sailing from and
a marriage was recorded:

Philip Delano married 13 June 1815 Saint Nicholas, Liverpool, Lancashire England Elizabeth Lloyd

Is this the brother from Friendship and did he have any children?

Christopher and James were brothers to my gr. gr. grandfather Judah Delano.
