Distinctive long necklace worn by Delano(y) woman b bef 1850

My g grandmother Delano(y) is in 2 photos approx 1885 and 1905 with her sister. In both photos ggma's sister is wearing the same distinctive long necklace which attaches loosely at her belt. The necklace is perhaps 40 inches long with squares, made up of small stones, about 3/4 inches to a side - 16 small stones each motiv (perhaps diamonds?). The stone motivs are set alternately on their sides and on point about 2 inches apart held in place by 6 strands of chain. Please let me know if you think you know who this Delano woman is. We are told she is an FDR relation and she bears a resemblence.

Thank you so much for any help.
