My data shows that Moses, who chose to spell his surname DeLashmit while his father spelled it DeLashmet, was the eldest son of Mordicai DeLashmet (ca.1775-abt 1842) and Martha William (I have no dates on her). His siblings: Greenbury (abt 1802-?) thought to have died early John (1804-1854)born in Chester Co. S.C., died in Chickasaw Co. Miss. Married Emilia Maraih Taylor in 1848. Issue: [1]Baldwin (`850-1935) married Sarah Adelaide Burns. They had seven children. [2] Louisa Rosetta (1852-?) Seely (1806-ca.1864) Direct ancestor. Married Mary Ann Rawls (1813-?). Issue six; [1]Cornelia (1843-1927) m. James Thomas Thompson. [2] John Seeley (1846-?)m. Bunion Skinner. [3] Aquilla (1847-1901)m.Susan Drucilla Thompson. Mary (1809-?) m. Samuel C. Murphy in 1833. No further data [4] Robert (1849-?) [5] Mordicai Bartlett (1851-1887)m.Elizabeth Montgomery. [6] Roselyn (?-?) m. Robert Lewis Harris Unknown (1807-?) probably died young Unknown (1808-?) probably died young Moses was born in S.Carolina abt 1800. He became a landowner and farmer who on April 4, 1823, married Nancy Salts (abt 1804-?) in Washington Co., Tenn.
