de la Torre Family Genealogy Forum

Adrian,
Begin with your known immediate family members at home and in Mexico. Gather all the information that you can from them. For research in Mexico you will need names, relationship, birthplaces, dates of baptismal, dates of birth, place/date of marriage, place/dates of death. Then if you live in the US a good place of reference is your local LDS (Mormon church)genealogy library. Then prepare yourself for many hours of research. It requires dedication but it is very rewarding. For example I have a de la Torre relative that was born in 1827 in Rancho de las Cruces, Jurridicion de Pinos, Zacatecas, Mexico. I researched off and on for one year before coming accross this gem of information. Good luck to you. Persistence pays off.
