Passed away Thursday evening. Mr. DeLeeuw was born May 16, 1883, in Kalamazoo, the son of Jacob and Minnie Deleeuw and was a life long resident here. He had been engaged in the produce business under the name of DeLeeuw Produce for 50 years and was associated with Mr. Herbert Gilman in that business. Mr. DeLeeuw was a member of the Greenwood Reformed Church, Fidelity Lodge No 513 F&AM, Kalamazoo Chapter No 13 Royal Arch Masons, Peninsular Commandery No 8 Knights Templar and Saladin Temple.
His wife, Martha, passed away in 1963. Mr. DeLeeuw is survived by one son, Donald of Manistee; 4 sisters, Mrs. Katherine Swanders of Portage, Mrs. Maude Dudley of Battle Creek, Mrs. Martha Crawford of Delton and Mrs. Irene Pikkart with whom he made his home for the last two years; one brother, Harold DeLeeuw of Kalamazoo; six grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Services will be held Monday at 1:30 o'clock at the Langeland Memorial Chapel, Rev. Harry Buis officiating. Graveside services in Riverside Cemetery in charge of Peninsular Commandery No 8 Knights Templar. Friends may call at the chapel.
