Martin de Leon born in Cruillas in 1765, was one of the first spanish settlers and as empresario the founder of Victoria, Texas. He was married to Paricia de la Garza and had ten sons: Fernando, Maria Candelaria, Silvestre, Lupita, Felix, Agapito, Chucha, Refugia, Agustina and Francisca.

I encourage you to read the excelent book De León a Tejano Family History by Anna Carolina Castillo Crimm University of Texas Press Austin who follows on the family from 1800-1880.

If your are a descendant of this family, as myself, you will fill proud.
