For information I am a Devon Churchill. My American Ancetor was a John Churchill from Rockbeare Parish in Devon

Our DNA Signature is consistant with a Norman origin. The family story is that Roger de Cherchile was our ancestor. This Roger was an "enforcer" for William the Conquorer. There is actually quite a bit of background. It would be interesting to learn if King William was an I1b.
