After seeing this posting of yours and viewing the names on your family website, I think we may be related. I was a little confused because you mentioned that your de Leon lines were from Burgos, but mentioned only that your Cano family was from Nuevo Leon. I think Rancho Nuevo might have been under the jurisdiction of Burgos too. In any case do contact me. I have in my Cano Tree
a man who I think was your great grandfather and brother to my great grandfather. I have a Manuel Domingo Cano b. Abt 1870. He would be a brother to my great grandfather Raimundo Cano b. about 1874/05. There parants would be Gervacio Cano Solis and Ma. Rita Trevino Trevino. This Manuel Domingo that I have also happens to be married to a Juana Flores who was born about 1875. They were married in Burgos, which indicates she too was most likely from Burgos. If I am correct, our grandparents, Leonor Cano de los Santos and Loreto Cano Flores were first cousins, that makes our parents, Juan Antonio de los Santos and Nelda Cano de Leon 1st cousins once removed, and we would be 1st cousins twice removed.
Write me we'll exchange phone numbers and maybe talk.
your prima (I'm pretty sure) Mercedes
