Hello. I am looking for information Joe Delgado DOB: 8/24/1863 DOD: June 1931. Joe was married to Angelita De Los Reyes (maiden name given to her by family in Elmendorf who took her in--she was orphaned at St. Joseph's church in San Antonio--or so the story goes)DOB: approx. 11/10 1870-1871 DOD: JUNE 1951. From what I have found on death certificates and other searches I believe his father's name was also Joe or Jose Delgado and he was married to a Manulita/Manula Monjars/Mojares/Monyares--the spelling of the first and surnames are varied but the informants are different and may not have known the correct spellings. At any rate, I would like to know where his parents were from--I've been told they were both related to the families who came to Bexar county and Louisiana from the Canary Islands. The census records I have been able to review show both Texas and Louisiana as having been at least his home. HELP....
