Hello Pauline, my name is Brian Delmore of Milwaukee Wisconsin USA (just north of Chicago Illinois) My ancestor,John Thomas Delmore came from county Lonford Ireland in 1846 he was seventeen. He settled in a small town on the Wisconsin River called Lyndon station in southern Wisconsin. He came thru the port of New Orleans. I have a distant cousin who is a retired nun and was a librian, who did a complete family history. There are many Delmores in the USA. I have a copy of my family history and it looks like the Delmores came to Ireland as part of the Norman invasion from France about four hundred years ago. My ancestor,I had been told by my grand mother was the first Delmore to come to the USA. I would assume you and I are some form of distant cousins if your family came from Ireland. Good luck and I hope this helps.

Brian
