I have an unpublished 31 page booklet entitled THE DELOS, An American Family written by Revd Frank Sherman Delo in the 1940s.
This has a passing reference to a Fred Oliver Delo
The relevant paragraph is quoted exactly as it was typed because some of the relationships are not clear:-

JACOB, the fifth child of George and Eva Catherine Kuntz Delo, was born in Clarion County, August 1807, three or four miles west of the present site of Claion. He married a Miss Sylvis. In 1840, he moved to McKeesport, Pa., where he became a mine forman and was seriously injured. Daniel John, b. July 3, 1833; d. Jan. 18, 1915. His wife was Martha Wood -- d. June 20, 1913; five children. Charles Horn, son, David G. Delo, d. at 81-6-15; sons, John C., d. 1942; Thomas Albert, b. April 21, 1876. Walter Scott and Fred Oliver. George; five children; Jacob who died at 19 years of age from wounds, is evidently a son of his second wife -- Elizabeth, of whom he speaks in his letter. George died of Yellow Fever at Memphis, Jacob died at home from wounds received at Malvern Hill. Jacob died aged 62. He had 9 children and 22 grandchildren written to Sarah Colburn (Esther) - End of quote.

From the dates this is probably the Fred(erick) you are looking for, but the details are scant.

Roy Delo
