I am a Hardy DeLoach descendant who grew up in Georgia (live in VA now). The Hardy DeLoach (Isom's) homestead unfortunately is now part of Fort Stewart military base near Hinesville, GA (Liberty Co). When the land was acquisioned for the base the houses, barns, outbuildings, etc. were allowed to fall down into total disrepair and disappear. Ft. Stewart's archaeologist says there are grave stones, and numerous unmarked graves scattered throughout the area. Many years ago (before my time), family members were allowed to visit to the cemetaries but now that the nation's bases are under tighter security messages I don't think it will be easy getting access. It is a very sensitive subject among descendants in the immediate area -- the government took away their ancestral land. There is no death record in the Liberty County courthouse that I have knowledge of.
