Trying to trace the roots of my great,great- uncle Stephen Delorme, born March 10, 1810, from Quebec, Canada. He originally migrated from Alsace, France with his family, date unknown. He eventually settled in Dearborn, MI in 1862. Possibly came to the U.S. through Vermont??? He was buried at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Detroit, MI, 1906. Believed to have siblings: a Detroit baker named Joseph. Stephen was married to Margaret (Marguerite?) Doulette. Children's names were Stephen Delorme, Jr., Eunice (sometimes referred to as Anntoinette), Albert Joseph, and Helen (referred to as Ellen). Son Stephen Jr., born Nov. 1839 in Scottsville, NY, was a Civil War vet. Stephen Jr. had children named Louisa (Louisa Brainard) and William. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
