My name was originally Dube and I just learned that my branch of the family came from France as Dube (Dubes) dit Delorme. The first one coming to Canada, Jean Dubes, came in 1758 as a soldier and married Marie-Anne Martin. He had 3 sons: Jean-Baptiste (1766), Joseph (1774) and Charles (1785). The descendant of Joseph kept the name Dubé and those of the other two kept the name Delorme. I am a descendant of Jean-Baptiste but I would appreciate ANY information ... I am looking for siblings, dates, places, facts, etc.
