More to family origin of Delormes

Thanks Linda for your response. I take it the two Pierre are of different generations. It looks like my Pierre waqs in teh Great Lakes area or US and worked his way into central then northern Alberta.

My maternal GG grandmother was Lisette Lemire [Misktikosew] 1826-c1892, daughter of Pierre Lemire [Ayamihawagsiw] and Charlotte Mistikus. This record comes from the RC Oblates [likely St. Albert or Lac St Anne] Alberta. Lisette married Jean Baptiste LePretre [Nittawikijik] on 23 January 1848 [when he was baptised]. I'd love to obtain a church record of that event!!!!

I see Pierre's surname Lemire also shows up as dit Delorme/Lemay which is causing me much confusion.

I'll keep this short and only try a bit at a time.
